My favorite memory has and always will be Sunday dinner. Here in the South, as far back as I can remember, everybody always showed up for Sunday dinner. We laughed and talked and teased and listened to the latest about who was doing what. I have carried on the tradition with my family. Sunday dinner is always a long, slow, enjoyable time with a tableful of good food. I always said that when I die, just make sure it isn't on a Sunday, because, I don't ever want to miss Sunday dinner.

You're killing me with those Lane photos again. She seems like such a happy little girl.

We're moving in four(!) months when my husband finishes his Ph.D., though we don't know where we are going with the economy as it is. (Our original plans may be out the window.) I've grown sad lately thinking about leaving Atlanta, even though it's something we both need to do, on some level. Knowing we're going is definitely making me cherish our time left here.

We are moving soon, and while I love our house I'm ok with letting it go. The thing I'm struggling with is that this is where we have lived for the past 6½ years, our oldest had just turned 1 when we moved in here and we brought the other 2 home from the hospital to here. But you are right, I get to take the memories. There are many, and I'm glad I have a lot of pictures to remind me.

Good luck moving! First off, I love your patio, it's so beautiful. Now as far as favorite home memories? If I had to pick one it would be playing hide-n-seek with Diego for the very first time. Just realizing that he knew he was "hiding" and then he would peek around, find me, and ruuuuunn and jump into my arms with a huge grin on his face. Sigh.

I concur about the bittersweets, but it's oh so helps us to appreciate the good things in life! And it definitely sounds like you have lots to be thankful for. :)

Congrats on your move. We are going back to move another load of things from our old house and have to have our home empty in about 30 days. It just hit me today, moving is so bittersweet! So many memories of the old place, but new ones to be made in our new home. When we move we always take one last look around and then quietly shut the door for the last time. I feel like we are in a movie. :-) Sigh, good luck with the move!

Oh, I remember leaving our last condo (our favorite place we've ever lived), and the memories I had made there.

Although there were some tough memories (my husband's cancer treatment), there were also beautiful memories of times spent with friends and family, birthdays, picnics out on the lawn, my daughter eating popsicles on our deck in only a diaper, finding out I was pregnant again...

My favorite memory of all: giving birth to my son at home, in my living room, on a glorious, sunny May afternoon. Then just basking in the late afternoon/ post-birth glow as I snuggled my babe, surrounded by my family and a few visiting friends. :)

This is such a lovely happy post! It had me grinning from the get-go, you have a gorgeous daughter and that first photo is adorable. I just signed for my very first rental flat today, so i'm going to be moving May 1st and starting a new chapter in my life of living alone. Exciting! Hoorah! :D I'm looking forward to building memories in my new place, the same way you have. I hope your moving day goes well! :)
