That is the right way to use a vacant space effectively, have other DIY tools to do so but don't have deep pliers for bending the metal, I think I can do that in 4 hours as I am not expert like Doug.

Great Idea! The natural oak and aluminum work exceptionally well together... and I love that the little one's involved too.

More parents should spend time making things with their kids.

I LIKE this idea!

going to have to get DH to make me a couple of these (I have too many pans for just 1 lol)...

It nicely solves my problem of pan storage. I had thought of using an overhead pan-rack hung from the ceiling, but realised that they would hang down too far and would be in the way. But I have plenty of room to hang them on the sides of my cabinets.

Just need to figure out what to do with the pan-lids now.

Great idea! It's the kind of thing my husband can build if he sees, but would never design. Thanks, Doug!

THIS is such a great idea!!! it could be used for so many other things too. i am definitely going to use this idea for the original use as a pot rack-- as i have wanted and needed one for a very long time,; my kitchen storage space it so limited it's just scary.
but while reading, one other idea i came up with, is a fishing rod rack. my husband and i are avid bass fisher - people-- and , no kidding, we must be pushing over fifty rods and reels... they take up so much space in the garage , and have even trickled right into my living room! they are stacked/ and tangled in just about every corner available to them. obviously such a rack for these would have to be much larger-- maybe even two or three of them-- but the idea is just perfect to hang on the garage wall... and we could even build one for garden tools, shovels , rakes, weed eater, etc etc... i am getting older, and de cluttering is my main goal in life right now-- i despise everything being shoved and crammed and stacked-- i just LOVE this -- has your husband thought of building a few and trying to sell them.. i'm sure he could sell them locally for nearly double the cost-- if he has time. perfect!
thank you!!!

My only suggestion: buy the little one some safety goggles ad model wearing them, yourself. The photo with her eyes right next to a working drill gave me the willies...
