I just read your post while looking for a chocolate syrup recipe. As you empty your freezer, place in plastic gallon jugs filled 3/4 with water. As the water freezers it will expand in the container. The frozen jugs help maintain the freezer temperature as a full freezer runs more efficiently. I hope you succeeded on your project.
