I love how vivid color starts showing up this time of year. I’m especially loving orange juice (Simply Orange is my favorite), colored craft supplies, and finding bright green in unexpected places.

I am such a cold weather wimp. I think I only left home two times this week. And now I think my brain is on hiatus as a result. Maybe tomorrow I’ll be more brave and venture out into the cold.
A little of what I’ve been reading lately:
Keep Our Lives Simple

2009 is already looking like a success. I’ve spent years burning toast, and it usually comes out of the oven with little flames dancing on top. This week I made toast by myself, and didn’t burn it! Apparently the trick is to stand there and watch it. Who knew?

Talk about keeping it real for Christmas Day. My scenic view doesn’t look much like the one in the picture. The streets here are wet from drizzly rain, and [...]

We put up our Christmas decorations — next week I’ll get to show you pictures!
Lane was sick today, so right now I’m enjoying the peace and stillness of the night while she sleeps.
Before I was a mom, I never knew that one sick child could create so many loads of laundry in just a few [...]

Earlier this week I started feeling those first few signs I was getting sick. It wasn’t sneezing or sniffles, it was headaches and the kind of aching fever that makes me worry, “oh no, could this be flu?”
Fortunately I had your good advice from last week, and I read through all of your comments again. [...]
